|| a letter to my sons on their first day of school – homeschool mom

Dear Boys,

Today we officially have started our second full time year of homeschool.

I dropped you off at your sweet co op this morning.

I am so blessed that I get to take part in your education,

but I will admit however

it stings,

every time I watch you fly.

I promise you this year we will laugh more

than  we struggle through lessons.

I promise you that I will turn off my phone and be fully present,

every day for a period of time,

whether 5 minutes or 5 hours.

I am so proud of the both of you, always remember that.

I know that this year will come with its fair share of meltdowns and tears,

but as long as we do it together, relying on God’s sweet Grace,

we got this.

I sit here with a quiet house,

baby brother is napping.

I have no fights to referee or break up,

no messes to clean for the 50th time today,

and I am humbled by how fast this motherhood gig is going.

Man, how boring my days are without you both here.

I love you both to the moon and back + I can’t wait to hear how your first day has went.

Love always,

your imperfect Mama.

Lets make this our best year yet.

Heres to you

my frick and frack.
