body after baby

it’s interesting to me to see the different mom cliques & mom shaming that goes on.

although I do not take part in it, I quickly realized after becoming a mother that it’s like middle school on steroids.

first of all Instagram is not a great depiction of REAL motherhood.

no social media outlet is.

I’m determined to use this blog for good,

so I think it is important that my readers know that I’m not 100% happy with my body.

and it’s also important for moms to realize that your body WILL never be the same after baby.

and that’s not always a bad thing.

and although I have many stretch marks to show for each and every one of my pregnancies,

I can tell you this:

from conception to birth God’s majesty is shown.

how God in his infinite wisdom could use women as a vessel to bring forth life;

that in itself is a miracle.

as Psalm 139:13-14 says:

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.

14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.

FullSizeRender 2.jpgI often wonder how anyone could ever question a creator

when they have heard their infant cry for the first time.

to keep myself on track and not turn this into a small sermon

I will get back to my point by telling you again:

mama, you are beautiful.

the bags under your eyes.

the disheveled hair.

your mismatched outfit.

the scars you bare from carrying a HUMAN inside of you for 9 months.

we all have the same common goal for our children.

no matter what body frame,

difference of education,

or health choices we decide is best for our babes;

we are on the same team.

let’s work on building each other up,

not tearing apart.

after all,

little eyes are watching.

so here is a picture of my imperfect body after baby.

I know there are mamas out there that are way more fit,

maybe skinnier;

but this body gave me three beautiful souls

and for that I am eternally grateful.

Happy Wednesday friends.
